To Help our system not slowly if we use an old operating system.
Maybe we don't know what happen about our computer it's work slow and in open apllication make work slowly . there many problem can be change our system. maybe we can re install or format to the first operating system, but it's can be long time and make we lazy to do it. and we must install other program or aplication for the first time.
there is step by step to check our operating system to be good.

1. We must have New anti virus and up to date with this time. scan with our new anti virus who can find the new virus in there. if we use old anti virus maybe the new virus who have attack and make system file broken. cannot be detect.

2. Check your hardware.
Are your hardware work properly and support and compatible with the driver use. if not we must uninstall and make install with a compatible driver or new driver.example power supply work properly actualy if the hardware use for along time can be your hardware broken or work not optimal. change the hardware with a new hardware. check out the heatsink in processor it's work properly, if the processor to be hot be cause heatsink not work properly it's can be your computer slowly work. and thermal grease for the protect hot processor.

3. Harddisk Defragment
Cause much file can be make the harddisk slowly work and the files not in place. with defrag the files can be back to place and the harddisk can be faster.

4. Empty Recycle bin
this help our PC can be faster emptying recycle bin or uninstaal program if the program not important not use. emptying the cookies.

PROCESSOR

Processor is important hardware in a PC, Procesor have three important part. First is ALU (Aritmatchs Logical Unit) who have function all matematic component value. Second is CU (Control Unit) who have function for all data way. Third is MU (Memory Unit) who have function for support unit and for save Data for a while who use processor.

MOTHERBOARD
Motherboard that for place all components computer save. and have influence for every operating system good work. The Motherboard devide two category, it's Motherboard for INTEL who have socket type 423, 478, 479, and 775 and for AMD motherboard for AMD Socket type is 462, 754, 940, and 939.

MEMORY
The Most Memory it's use for computer it's a DDR-SDRAM(Double Data Rate-Synchronous Dynamic RAM) for a while. DDR-SDRAM type it's made who have a bandwith. And the most type we can find for a while it's PC 2100, PC 2700, and PC 3200. If a memory have DDR-SDRAM PC-3200 then that memory teory have bandwith is 3200MB/s, and clock it's 200 MHZ.
Value about Memory :

Example if a memory DDR-SDRAM PC-1600 (data width 64bit~8byte). Give Clock it's 100 MHZ (Cause DDR then for 1 clock will transfer two a data). Bandwith have = 8 byte x 100 MHz x 2 = 1600 MB/s.

GRAPHIC CARD
The Graphic card it's important component in a PC. Resolution Quality Screen and about a faster apllication 3D or 2D acceleration it's function with what we use the graphic card. in a while it's have two interface use in graphic card modern, like AGP and PCIe (PCI-Express).

HARDDISK
Harddisk have a function for save data in PC. harddisk type who often we find it's ATA, SATA, and SCSI. This Different type can be see in port to harddisk have. for data transfer faster to harddisk it's definable by how platter arround. The faster use for platter is RPM The faster of saving media can be grow up with use RAID (Redundant Array of Independent). RAID need two harddisk. RAID use is Stripping, Mirroring, and other. Stripping use for grow up the faster with a devide or collect the data who write or read to two harddisk or more.
Mirroring use to protect and safe data with the same data will write to tow harddisk or more.
The best method for it's we must get the stripping and mirroring, but this method need big cost we must have.

OPTICAL DRIVE
This optical drive have much in the market and place almost change the floppy drive. This optic drive have a much kind. begin from CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD RW, and combo drive.

ADD ON CARD
This add card use such for secondary or for complete PC, This add card wiill turn in PCI slot in motherboard.

POWER SUPPLY and CASING
The function about power supply it's make our computer turn on in a electricity. we must option the power supply it's have big or make our computer stabil. much of power supply it's 250 watt, 300 watt, 350 watt, and 500 watt.
casing it's home for all component computer and place for that. with enough room in a casing then can give fresh siclus and make computer not hot, and make to protect happen sort circuit to PC cable component.

These tips may be disclosed only a small part but hopefully useful and could succeed in doing. Although very Simple troubleshooting can to help us how to solve problems on our computer

CD-ROM
If your CD-ROM happen trouble or your computer often cannot open or your CD cannot read, it's may the optic CD-ROM is dirty, The solution about that, check out your CD-ROM, open out from the casing, and then open secrup in close CD-ROM find your optic CD-ROM and clean but be carefull don't make your optic press. and if your cd-rom cannot be open clean the gear in inside your cd-rom in open-close cd-rom and then give a little oil (can be use with oil kitchen).

MOTHERBOARD
After make setting to bios change, The System fail to run boot and your monitor blank, the solution it's :
1. Turn off computer, wait about one minute then turn on back. if no sign , turn on back and then press key, hold down the insert key then turn on back. if it work, hold out key and press Key , if not work, try step 2.
2. Turn off computer, open the casing then find CMOS Jumper (it's near batery), change jumper position 1-2 to 2-3 about one minute then back again to first position. if it's work, then go to bios with hold the key. if not work, try to step 3.
3. Same with step 2, but get out the power cable from ATX and get out the CMOS Batery.

MONITOR
Monitor screen it's not work properly or flickers check out setting display properties : The wrong option frequency can your screen monitor not wrk properly. it's can we see if you done and out the game, and your monitor sometime on and off or screen resoluttion change. and it's can be happen if we turn on TV with graphic card in TV out connector (actually frequecy will be change to 60 Hzt). the solution it's use windows driver from your graphic card cd or use utility Res-Changer (Chip-CD 6/2004). right click mouse to blank in the desktop, option new | Text Document " Give the name file with extension ".BAT", Example "RESOLUTION.BAT", if you not see extension, Double Click My Computer then option tools | Folder Options | View and Nonactive The hide file extensions for known file types. Right click the file then Edit, in editor write source like below :

reschange -width=1024 -height=768 -dept=32 -refresh=72

change your resolution in behind "width" and "height" with your resolution you want. "depth" is the many color in bit, example "32" for true color. "refresh" for monitor frequency. Save file then double click in that file.the program will back your resolution and monitor frequency to first setting.
If your screen not change or still not work properly or the color not true, the trouble may be there in out PC. like power supply and speaker low end if near with monitor will be screen monitor not work properly, far away the speaker about 15-20 cm and make power supply support with mother board. The touble cause electromagnetic. or you can do this :
To change the refresh frequency for your monitor

1. Open Display in Control Panel.
2. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
3. On the Monitor tab, in the Refresh Frequency list, click a new refresh rate.

Notes

• To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
• The default refresh frequency setting is 100 Hertz, although your monitor may support a higher setting. Check your manufacturer's documentation for information regarding the settings your monitor supports.
• A higher refresh frequency reduces any flicker on your screen, but choosing a setting that is too high for your monitor can make your display unusable and cause damage to your hardware.
• Changes to the refresh frequency affect all users that log on to the computer.

NETWORK
Network Card unplug in PC, But PC still not work in many other computer.
1. Check out hub/switch, find the definitoin about lamp in hub/switch in book of tutorial hub/switch you buy.
2. Check out network card. Are the network card lamp it's work or not. Check the cable you use(Straight-thru cable not crossover).
3. Check out IP Configuration : " Start | Setting | Network Connections " , Right click Local Area Network Connection and click "Properties" , Double click internet protocol (TCP/IP) and active use following IP Address. in IP address write 192.168.0.10 , in other PC write 192.168.0.11. in subnet mask click 255.255.0.0 then confirmation with ok. for test go to command prompt then write " ping 192.168.0.10". if that its available the network will respon. if we want see other PC in "My Network Places" , you must use the same domain name, can do with right click in My computer and the "properties" in name computer coloumn write with the same workgroup.

OPERATING SYSTEM
in a while make folder AVI file and mpeg, windows explorer to be hang cause it's try to preview with help broken video codecs. broken file be cause by virus or in a bad sector in harddisk. it's can be try with SFC tool and we can change with the better other tool. Solution ready cd windows XP and run tool in start | RUN|, click " SFC / scannow". XP will ask cd installer then tool will run scandisk in full system.

MEMORY
Graphic card memory frequency and mother board in factually have to same be cause both of work is syncron to (FSB). setting BIOS too high for graphic card can be make PC hang or not work properly. a simple way for get frequency with devide 2 in graphic card for DDR-RAM. then give same frequency in BIOS for motherboard and graphic card.

This tips just a litle tips make our windows xp get faster like refresh and you you also feel it at the time of opening the program at the start - all programs, it will be lighter.

For the first you must back up your registry windows before you try, cause your windows will broken permanent. so if we try and windows not work or broken we only re install operating system.

1. Setting your Contiguous file Allocation Size
this tweak will add often aplications you use.
open registry windows with run regedit from menu Star | Run. open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Current ControlSet\Control\FileSystem. and then add ContigFileAllosize from DWORD (Double Click and then New|DWORD)and write value 200.

2. To Free Memory from File DLL.
The Files DLL always big use place in memory. The files DLL you use and you remove or close the windows still save in memory. To free memory from Files DLL do it : Open registry windows with run rgedit from menu start|Run . then find and open key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer. then add String Always UnloadDll and write value 1.

3. Restart without re-booting for win9x/me
every you setup and install the program your computer will ask to restart to first. but if you lazy to wait you can make windows for restart it's self. with press Shift while you option restart from menu Shutdown windows.

4. To optimal L2 Cache. for win NT
New High end generation proccesor have L2 Cache about 256KB or more. if your computer to have , you maybbe want to optimal L2 Cache processor here this step : open file registry windows. then find key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Current ControlSet\Control\SessionManager", then add word DWORD with name SecondLevelDataCache and Write 200.

5. To make NTFS Partition Better.
With nonactive fungtion from Last Acces TIme Stamp. open file registry windows. and find key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem. then make new DWORD With name NtfsDisableLastAccesUpdate and active with write 1.
